The Girls...

I was digging through some old photos last week and found a few of Hazel and Merna, my Romneys, when they were lambs. How cute! And of course I couldn't leave out Peach. She's my Angora bunny and is ten weeks old in the picture below. Peach is much more feisty than the photo suggests - Mr. WoolPets has trouble walking past her without a confrontation. She now resides in the mother-in-law apartment at our house and doesn't like visitors - except for me of course!

Think Pink

Recently I was asked by a faithful admirer of WoolPets to make a standing sheep - but she wanted it to be pink. Her favorite color from what I was told. I wasn't sure whether to needle felt the sheep first and then "dip" it in dye or whether to dye the wool pink first. I decided to go the route of the latter. Although I had my doubts as to what this pink ewe would look like (sunburned?) I think it actually looks pretty cute. Time to felt a rainbow flock don't ya think?
