Birgitte Krag Hansen

Birgitte Krag Hansen is a Danish felt maker and teacher. She has an amazing talent with needle felting. Last summer, I was able to attend one of her workshops in the US. It was a figure making workshop held in upstate New York at Sharon Costello's studio. Although I had to fly clear across the country to attend the workshop, it was well worth it! When I heard she was giving a workshop on making needle felted animals, I almost jumped a plane to Germany. But between the cost and rushing to get a passport, I decided not to go. Boy, did I ever miss out! Look at the amazing stuff the students made here. Birgitte has a new book coming out on needle felting animals and currently it is only available in Danish. Hi Laurie-

I'm so jealous that you got to attend a workshop with Birgitte Krag Hansen! I've been an admirer of hers for a long time. I recently broke down and purchased her New Felt book a week or so ago. Wonderful!
I enjoy your work very much. It was great to see a needle felter at Christmas in the Country last year! You can see a couple of my needle felted pieces on my blog, though I need to get more photos posted.
