Hand Felted Beads on Uncommon Threads

Here's one to TiVo. I just watched an episode of 'Uncommon Threads' which airs on the DIY network  and the guest was Carol Huber Cypher, author of Hand Felted Jewelry and Beads published by Interweave Press . I've had this book for awhile and it's wonderful, but I've been unsuccessful  making the  miliflora type beads. The miliflora  look like the polymer clay beads that are rolled and sliced to reveal many colorful layers in the cross section.  Carol explained the process of making the multi-layered, swirled beads on this 'Uncommon Threads' episode and I found it to be very helpful, especially the tip she gave on saturating the rolled up wool mass with acrylic floor shield and allowing it to dry for a few days before slicing it. Sometimes you need to see someone actually doing the process in order for it to make sense.
Here is a link to Carol's website with photos of some of her beautiful felt work.
