Shearing Day
Today was shearing day for two of the four girls on the farm. Hazel and Merna, my two Romney girls, get sheared every 8 months. I tried to take some photos of the actual shearing, but it wasn't too pretty! Not because they got cut or anything, but some of that wool is nasty! I pick through and wash the good stuff and leave the rest behind.
These next two photos are Cocoa and Caramella. They get to keep their nice wooly coats for the winter.
Here's Ducka helping Kevin work on the book. We're finished with the initial draft, but I'm sure there is more work to be done. I think the title will be 'Wool Pets and Friends'.
